Christianity arrives in Classe
Christianity arrives in Classe, Ravenna, Italy. Hotels close to the Christian monuments in the centre of Ravenna.

Christianity came to Classe together with the Roman fleet, thanks to Saint Apollinare who, according to legend, came from Antioch in Syria in the first century; although history books date it to the end of the second.
His “undertakings” were later narrated in the sixth century by Bishop Massimiano who named the most beautiful celebratory Basilica of Ravenna after him ( basilica of St. Vitale ).
