The Museum of Ornithology and of Natural Sciences is located at the Palazzone of Sant'Alberto in the little town of Sant'Alberto of Ravenna to around 10 kms from the city centre.

The Palazzone of Sant'Alberto was built in 1500 by the Estensi as multifunction building:residential, commercial, deposit alimentary commodities.

Besides it acted as jurisdictional garrison and as control of the territory on the streets of communication of the Po of Primaro on the border between the Dukedom of Ferrara and the territory of Ravenna.
